About

Professor Ahmet Köybaşıoğlu was born in 1958. He entered Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1975 and graduated in 1981. He completed his residency in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine between 1982 and 1986.

While working as an ENT Specialist at the Ankara Dışkapı SSK Hospital clinic, he served at the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Cancer Research Center in the Netherlands.

He earned the titles of Associate Professor in 1997 and Professor in 2003 at the Gazi University Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. In 1998, he worked on clinical cases with his American colleagues at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in the United States. He conducted academic research for 16 years between 1996 and 2012. During these years, he carried out detailed studies in the field of head and neck tumors. He deepened his academic work in the fields of laryngeal and voice disorders (Laryngology).

He specializes in hoarseness, snoring, airway problems, dizziness, nasal and sinus areas, as well as nodules, polyps, and vocal cord cysts in the laryngeal region.

Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, tonsillitis, adenoids, otitis media with effusion, and congenital neck cysts are among his medical areas of interest.

He has conducted academic research and published papers on tumors and cancers occurring in the oral cavity, nose, tongue, jaw, pharynx, and skin in the head and neck region. These diseases are his primary areas of medical interest.
