Prof. Dr. Ali Akyol, who serves as a Neurology specialist, graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1982. He completed his mandatory service at Samsun Alaçam Health Center between 1982 and 1984. From 1984 to 1989, he worked at the Emergency Department of İzmir Karşıyaka State Hospital and served at the İzmir 112 Emergency Service (Hızır 7). He completed his neurology residency at the Department of Neurology at Fırat University between 1989 and 1994. He worked as a faculty member at the same university from 1994 to 1996.

In 1996, he established the Department of Neurology at Aydın Adnan Menderes University. He received the title of Associate Professor in 1998 and Professor in 2004. He served as Vice Rector at the same institution between 2019 and 2023. He currently provides services at the Neurology Clinic of Özel Koru Ankara Hospital.

He primarily focuses on headaches, epilepsy, movement disorders - Parkinson's disease, and dementia. He has particular experience in occipital nerve block and botulinum toxin applications for migraine and headaches, as well as botulinum toxin applications for dystonia and movement disorders. He is a member of the supervisory board of the Turkish Neurological Society, the Turkish Epilepsy Society, and the Parkinson's Disease Association of Turkey. Prof. Dr. Ali Akyol has numerous national and international papers and articles published throughout his academic career.
