Prof. Dr. Birol Yamak completed his medical education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine between 1977 and 1984. He received his residency training in Cardiovascular Surgery at the Türkiye Yüksek İhtisas Hospital Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic between 1986 and 1991.
Following his residency, he served as a chief resident in the same clinic. He held positions as the Clinical Director of Cardiovascular Surgery at Private Sani Konukoğlu Hospital, and as the Head of the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery and Head of the Department of Surgical Medical Sciences at T.C. Adıyaman University Faculty of Medicine.
He has been working at the Koru Hospital Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic since 2020.
