What is a Pregnancy School?
A pregnancy school is an educational program that provides expectant mothers and their partners with accurate, up-to-date, and scientific information about pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. Conducted by specialist physicians, midwives, and health educators, this program addresses every stage of pregnancy with a priority on maternal and infant health.
The primary goal of the program is to help the expectant mother understand the physical and emotional changes she experiences, reduce anxieties regarding childbirth, and ensure she is consciously prepared for this special period. Expectant mothers who are well-informed about the process experience childbirth as a calmer, safer, and more positive event.
Pregnancy school training typically covers the following topics: healthy nutrition during pregnancy, pregnancy-appropriate exercises, differences between vaginal birth and cesarean section, breathing and relaxation techniques during labor, pain management, breastfeeding, newborn care, and the postpartum period.
These trainings are intended not only for expectant mothers but also for expectant fathers. The participation of partners in the process makes a significant contribution to the family's preparation for this new chapter together, consciously, and more strongly.
The Koru Hospital pregnancy school program is planned by our experienced healthcare team, taking into account the needs of every expectant mother. You can contact us for detailed information about the program content, dates, and registration requirements.
