The admission of patient visitors must be carried out in accordance with the procedures and principles determined at our hospital. For the sake of your patient's health, we kindly ask for your assistance in this matter and would like to emphasize that you should not visit a patient without obtaining information from our healthcare staff regarding the procedures and principles set within the framework of our hospital's visitor policy. To ensure the provision of safe healthcare services, it is important that you pay attention to the following points during your stay in our hospital:
- Visiting hours are between 10:00 and 22:00.
- Each visitor enters the room with a visitor card.
- A maximum of 2 visitors are allowed in the patient room at the same time.
- In cases where it may be detrimental to the patient, visits are subject to the doctor's permission. This situation is reported to the patient's nurse and patient consultant.
- Individuals with complaints such as fever, cough, sneezing, and phlegm, as well as those with known infectious diseases, chronic illnesses, those susceptible to infections, and children under 12 years of age, should not be brought to patient visits or the hospital environment unless they are patients themselves, as their body resistance is weaker than that of adults. However, in some cases, since children's visits can have positive effects on the patient's recovery, visits by the patient's own children or siblings may be permitted, provided that infection control principles are followed.
- Flowers are not accepted in patient rooms due to the risk of infection. Flowers sent are accepted by the reception, and the patient or their relative is informed.
• During the visit, for the health of the patient and your own health, please be careful not to touch the items/areas in the environment or the equipment connected to the patient, and do not sit on the patient's bed.
• Please be sure to pay attention to your hand hygiene before and after the visit; wash and/or disinfect your hands.
- For the health of your patient, please do not bring food with you or request food from outside during your patient visits.
- Patients in intensive care, those in isolation (patients with infection risk, patients with low or compromised immune systems, patients receiving cancer treatment, and patients for whom the doctor deems visits inappropriate) should not be visited. Visitor rules in departments with special patient groups are determined by the relevant department or clinic and must be followed.
In Intensive Care Units;
- Visiting hours for intensive care units vary. With the permission of the intensive care physician in charge, one first-degree relative may be allowed to visit once a day during appropriate hours for intensive care.
- The most important basic rule to follow to prevent infections during patient visits is ensuring hand hygiene. In this context, do not hesitate to enter our hospital's Intensive Care Units without using personal protective equipment; this is actually an internationally accepted entry system.
- Patient relatives who wish to receive information outside of the designated briefing hours may have to wait for a time when the intensive care doctor is available.
- No visitors other than the mother and father are accepted in the neonatal intensive care unit.
- Information about the baby is provided to the mother and father only by the doctor during visiting hours.
- Taking photos and videos of the patient is prohibited in all intensive care units. It is not permitted.
To assist the patient during treatment, the patient has the right to have a companion, provided that it is permitted by regulations and our hospital's facilities, required by the patient's health condition, and approved by the doctor responsible for the treatment. We would like to emphasize that for the sake of your patient's health, you must accompany your patient in accordance with the procedures and principles determined within the framework of our hospital's companion policy.
- The number of companions is limited to one person. In case of a change of companion, the nurse responsible for the patient's care must be informed.
- The companion assists with the patient's care to the extent permitted. They should not perform any procedure on the patient without the knowledge of the physician and nurse responsible for the treatment.
- Companions are strictly prohibited from bringing food and beverages from outside the hospital.
- For the health of our patients, smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas within the hospital building.
- Be sure to wash your hands before and after touching your patient.
- Companions are not accepted in Intensive Care Units.
- Companion rules in departments with special patient groups are determined by the relevant department or clinic and must be followed.
